Overview

There are more than 10,000 maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance tasks for all types of facilities. Using data developed in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, this training class teaches how to plan, budget and estimate the cost of corrective repairs, preventive maintenance and ongoing maintenance for effective plant operations.

  • Learn how to price construction projects and localize cost estimates
  • Make the best use of RSMeans data reference material and estimating tips to ensure your estimate is complete
  • Understand the importance of having a well-defined scope of work when preparing an estimate

  • Order of magnitude, square foot, assemblies and unit price estimating
  • Overview of the various components of an estimate, such as materials, labor, equipment, overhead and profit

  • Potential sources of errors in mechanical and electrical quantity takeoffs

Registration for this seminar does not include travel or accommodations. Lunch and refreshments will be provided each day.
