This two-day seminar will discuss take-off and estimating site work and heavy construction with such diverse subjects as foundation estimating, earthwork stabilization, utilities installation and earthwork.

Discussion of common terminology used in site work and heavy construction. Classroom problems utilizing unit price estimating for soil nailing, earthwork, site utilities and common earth work issues including rock excavation.

The first day will provide classroom problems using the assembly estimating techniques with discussion of why site work and heavy construction estimating is different than other types of construction estimating. The second day will discuss various types of site work and heavy construction work with a discussion about equipment selection for various types of earthwork and quality control for earthwork.
