Advanced Project Management

Objectives
This two-day seminar will teach you how to effectively manage and control the entire design-build process and allow you to take home tangible skills that will be immediately applicable on existing projects.

Approach
Successful project managers get projects completed on time while protecting their organization's bottom line. Addressing both the characteristics of effective projects and successful project managers helps identify the different risks inherent in a construction project, plus the selection of the correct delivery and contracting method.
During this two-day class, you'll follow the chronology of a typical project and learn about value engineering, bonding, fast-tracking and bid package creation. This seminar will provide a quick review of estimating and scheduling and then focus on how estimates and schedules can be integrated to provide advanced project management tools for effective project planning and control. Cost engineering, quality control, productivity measurement and improvement will also be covered in this seminar.

Who should attend?
Owner Project Managers, Architectural and Engineering Managers, Construction Managers, Contractors and anyone else who is responsible for the timely design and construction of construction projects.
